Dog relaxing on a forest cliff during sunset in the Outaouais, Quebec, at a pet-friendly cabin rental with fall colours in the background

Whether you’re chasing golden sunsets over fiery fall colours, gliding through fresh snow on snowshoes, or cooling off in a secluded lake on a hot summer day — the Cliffside Camp is your year-round escape.

  • Fall – The Outaouais’ most spectacular season. Blazing reds, glowing golds, crisp air, and the kind of sunsets that make you forget your phone. Peak colours run mid-September to mid-October, but the warm hues linger well into November.

  • Winter – Your own snowy hideaway. Cozy up with the shelter’s diesel heater after exploring 10 km of private snowshoe trails (including those used for Canada’s longest-running snowshoe race series). The view from the cliff is magical when the valley is covered in fresh snow.

  • Summer – Warm days, cool nights, and endless outdoor adventures. Swim in our private lake, paddle the Gatineau River, roast marshmallows by the fire, or simply rock on the porch and listen to the forest.

We’re just 40 minutes from Ottawa — close enough for a spontaneous weekend, yet far enough to feel completely unplugged.

Peak seasons book up quickly. Reserve your spot now and experience the Outaouais at its best.
